Gateway to Palm Desert Country Club

The recent renovation of Palm Desert Country Club (PDCC) by Renaissance Community Fund (RCF) has garnered national acclaim. However, the main entry point of PDCC continues to suffer from an awkward mix of land uses, and it has not lived up to its potential as the gateway to the PDCC.

RCF will enhance the visibility and circulation of the PDCC Community by developing two related areas. RCF will enter into an agreement with the HOA to relocate the existing pool and clubhouse, relocate and upgrade Joe Mann Park, and create a shared parking facility to improve access to all amenities while reducing traffic congestion. The reconfigurations will enable the phased development of more than 100 residences of various types. Collaboration with the Redevelopment Agency will result in redevelopment of a prominent retail at the entry to the community, and an integrated overall urban design that includes roadway and pedestrian improvements necessary to improve pedestrian and auto-accessibility for PDCC and the greater community.
