This downtown lot had long remained vacant. The City of La Habra worked with numerous developers to revitalize this site, but had trouble attaining plans that were compatible with the neighborhood and in accordance with the City's overall goals. The City had zoned the lot for residential use and wanted a project with the appropriate density. However, the small size of the lot made development difficult. |
From its work with the City of La Habra on another development, RCF knew that the City wanted a quality residential development on the site. Knowing they could deliver, RCF bought 100 S. Deanna Street from the previous developer. Working closely with the City, RCF received approval for low-density single-family homes in a small-lot subdivision that would be both marketable and financially viable. |
Construction is complete, and families have moved into the new single-family homes that now occupy a previously vacant and blighted spot in La Habra's downtown. The addition of these units has helped to enliven the downtown area, attract development, and strengthen the community. The houses, priced at market rate as workforce housing, sold out shortly after they went on the market and prior to construction being completed.
