Corona Medical Plaza Corona, California |

The City of Corona has a rich heritage and suburban quality of life, but an attractive quality of life brings growing pains. The City's resident population has grown substantially in recent years and now exceeds 150,000. The swell in population has tested the capacity of existing health care facilities, and in response, the Corona Regional Medical Center is in the process of expanding and upgrading its hospital. However, an expanded facility requires additional parking and will draw additional medical practices and other interests that may want close proximity to the Center.
|
Renaissance Community Fund is working closely with the Corona Redevelopment Agency to develop a concept that will serve the local and regional needs of the expanded hospital.
The team is in the process of developing 6-story and 4-story medical office condo buildings on property across the street from the expanding hospital, and the construction of retail and/or mixed-use buildings in between and along the street. In addition, a shared parking structure will serve the needs of the hospital, the medical offices, the new retail, and the surrounding community. Street beautification and design improvements will link the hospital and the RCF developments together into an attractive pedestrian environment. RCF is currently in talks with the Agency and adjacent property owners regarding the specific site plan and area wide design and circulation improvement programs.
